Real profit after the referral fee and creator commission — most calculators stop at the 6% headline.
2026 US rates. Referral fee already includes payment processing — there is no separate 2.9% + $0.30 charge for US sellers. Referral base = customer payment + platform-funded discount − tax (per TikTok Seller University). Creator commission applies only to affiliate-attributed orders; refunds carry an admin fee of 20% of the refunded referral fee. Verify exact amounts in your Seller Center settlement report.
TikTok Shop US charges a single referral fee: 6% for most categories and 5% for jewelry, with a tiered rate for pre-owned goods. Payment processing is already bundled in. New sellers can receive a reduced 3% promotional rate.
The number that trips up sellers is the base: the fee is charged on customer payment + platform-funded discount − tax, not on your net deposit. If TikTok subsidizes a coupon, you are still commissioned on the pre-subsidy value — the discount is reimbursed to you separately.
On top of the referral fee, creator commissions (typically 5–30%, commonly 15–20%) are paid only when an affiliate drives the sale, and optional FBT fulfillment fees apply if TikTok warehouses your inventory. The calculator above models all of it so you can compare organic versus creator-driven profit before you set your commission.
